GRYSKLL's Founding Emcee and Accomplished DJ, 1 to Dial, Breaks Timeless Ground With "The Interlude"

[January. 5] – GRYSKLL, the groundbreaking interstate hip-hop collective known for their unity in music and podcasting, is excited to unveil their latest project, "The Interlude".  The Interlude highlights the pivotal role played by one of GRYSKLL’s founding emcees, 1 to Dial, who is also an accomplished DJ and producer.

1 to Dial's remarkable DJ career includes historic performances at prestigious events like the 2016 Democratic National Convention for Barack Obama. He’s produced GRYSKLL canon classics like “Born” & “The DAO Tone”. As ½ of The Black Mavericks, and throughout the underground his bars have kept Hip Hop alive in the hearts of listeners of all ages. His unique blend of elite emceeing with a classic DJ’s selection and arrangement sensibilities has left an indelible mark on GRYSKLL's second collaborative project that would make his favorite emcees, DJs and producers proud.

"The Interlude" is a collection of short songs that pay homage to the art of mature, intricate lyricism mixed with masterful storytelling. All delivered with the ease of the elite.  Serving as the prequel to GRYSKLL's debut project, "A Tension Deficit," it showcases the group's evolution and creativity.

What makes "The Interlude" truly special is that it began before the formation of GRYSKLL, representing the first collaborative effort between a GRYSKLL member and the producer of "The Interlude", GRYSKLL founder, Dragon’s Pitchfork.

The project is a testament to the collaborative spirit within the group. It has been meticulously co-produced, mixed and mastered by GRYSKLL's in-house engineer, emcee, producer Q. aka Media Pimp.  Q. crafted a soundscape for “The Interlude” that sends listeners to an atmosphere reminiscent of golden era Hip Hop cultural classics.

"The Interlude" combines the best of modernized boom bap, soul, and funk, all fused with 1 to Dial's nonchalant yet intricate delivery. This unique blend of sonic elements results in a musical experience that is both nostalgic and innovative, offering a new, yet somehow familiar, world for music lovers to explore.
